10. DRINK TAP WATER
For God sake don’t
even try this at home may except people
from western countries but other countries especially Asian countries and African countries never drink tap water in my country we prefer water from
fountain . so if you are travelling to Rwanda don’t brush your teeth or drink tap water
you can use bottle water and always
remember to travel at least with 2 or 3 bottle of water I prefer I suggest you
buy inyange it comes in different size like 1litter, 500ml…but there are also Nil, Huye
… so please be careful with tap water
9. DON’T NOT CARRY
PLASTIC BAGS
Plastic bags are not allowed in Rwanda so please before you
pack your bagpack coming to Rwanda be sure that you are plastic bag free. Hahha
yeah it is illegal to smuggle or
use plastic bags into Rwanda you can
even get jailed for that the government
of Rwanda is strongly trying to be
plastic bags free country in Africa
So you will not see
any plastic bag in any super market ,local shop, hotels or any expo please don’t be the one to carry any illegal
item you don’t want be jailed for stupid stuff duh!!!!!
8. ASK A RWANDAN IS HUTU OR TUTSI
Yes you heard it right before travelling to Rwanda you probably
did your research before you make your
decision so you probably read the story
of genocide happened in Rwanda 25 years ago
but that is just history not the story you will see when you arrive to
Rwanda so please don’t go around ask everyone if he or she is Hutu
or Tutsi and probably you won’t get the answer because many Rwandans are still
young and don’t love to talk about that
stuff because we have no idea how to describe Tutsi or Hutu so we know that we have born Rwandans and yes we know our history and yes we Rwandans not Hutu not Tutsi.
And yes you can be jailed for that if anyone report you to
the police we don’t want anyone come name us
names that divide us come enjoys
the best conversations with great people of Rwanda and beautiful weather .
7. DRINK AND DRIVE
Yes if you know how to drive and having a driving license
your are allowed to rent a car and drive it till the end of your trip to Rwanda
you can go anywhere you want but don’t take alcohol and drive it is strictly prohibited
to drink and drive new rules allow the police if the caught you driving while
you drunk you will be jailed for 5 days and fine from 100$ to 250$ so you don’t
want to spend your vacation in jail. Hahhaha if you want to spend some times in
jail you better do it in your country.
6. THROWING WASTE WHEREVER YOU WANT
We are trying to keep our street clean in fact Kigali is one
of the cleanest city in Africa so if you try it do it on your own risk because
there will be some consequence whoever you are everywhere in the city you will
find recycle bins and the country side
is super clean and green so keep your waste with you until you reach where is a
recycle bin and throw them there many countries around the world are dirty the garbage
everywhere so if you are coming from one of those country I describe here its
different we keep our country clean.
5. FORGET YOUR MEDICATION
Oh yeah we are reach to interesting and important topic
which is called health you may be having
some sickness but you will still need
some vacation or travel to different countries so I suggest you travel with
your medication because may not get the medicine you need on the right time.
Let me be clear and honest health sector in Africa is not that great so finding
meds is kind difficult even impossible to some patients so you need to be ready
to travel with all your medication that will cover your days in the country at
least.
4. TRAVEL WITHOUT SNACKS
Many of you coming from different countries that have street
food in Rwanda we are not yet developed in that part there are almost nothing
like street food in Rwanda so you will need to buy your snacks before you live
you hotel or motel because you won’t get any snacks along the way except may be
processed food like chips, nuts… in local shops or supermarket and if you are
from Asian countries I strongly recommend to visit place called Nyamirambo in Kigali
there you can find street food
3. GO TO VILLAGE LOCAL BARS
Yes you want experience different culture you want to know
how the country side live and yes it
always good to learn some great stuff for surviving in the village of Africa
it’s a little bit difficult to do so don’t get me wrong I am not saying Rwandans
in the country side they are not welcoming
I am saying you will have language barrier but if you have some basic knowledge of Kinyarwanda
you will enjoys great experience with local people and you will get a chance to
taste local drink called “urwagwa”
Actually let me rephrase that the people of Rwanda they are
so welcoming they are great people
always smiling at you interested in talking to you but
will face language problem but they love meeting foreigners from other
country and learn something from them
and the kids!!???oh my goodness they are kind always trying to dance for
you sing for you so you can give them some snacks .hahahhaha you need to
experience it I promise you will love
it.
2. DO DRUGS
Doing drugs is strictly prohibited .definitely I am not saying drugs as medicine suggest
with your doctor I am saying weeds(GANJA) yes
you heard it right many state in the united state of America weed is
allowed even you can smoke it in public in Canada also you are allowed to smoke
weed in public.
Weed is legal in even different state in Europe but not Rwanda
smoking weed is illegal even you can be jailed for that don’t get caught in
weed deals buying, selling, smoking or other way around involves you with
weed do not try this. Police will not tolerate you they will punish you with no mercy so be
careful I am not say that on weed only even other drugs like cocaine and
others.

TALKING BAD THING ABOUT OUR PRESIDENT
Interesting topic hum!!!!!!!!! Yes many of you want know
President Paul Kagame in different ways some knows that he is a dictator and
other knows that he is a great leader who stopped genocide and grow the economy
of Rwanda at this level. We love our President because where we were 25 years ago
and we know and see where are now and where are going so please be careful on
what you are saying about our President and many Rwandans will report you
immediately when you trying to talk bad things about our president or our
government careful understand people who lives in this country for very
longtime they will give you their experience but don’t be the one involved in
talking bad thing about things you don’t even know.
In our country we respect our government and president so if
in your country you don’t do that you can say shit about your president not our
president
